Abstract

This study was conducted to develop a library management application at SDN Sebani 1 Pandaan. The study employed a Research and Development (R&D) approach using the Evolutionary
Prototyping model. The Evolutionary Prototyping method consists of analysis, prototype development, prototype refinement based on user feedback, and website launch. The results of the study illustrate the application system design process. Based on a needs analysis, the manual library system has many weaknesses, such as the risk of recording errors and disorganized data. Therefore, the E-Perpus application was developed as a solution to manage data in a more organized, efficient, and centralized manner. This application has several key features, namely book data management (input and categorization), book title search, loan and return management, loan data monitoring, and a book catalog accessible to students. Librarians have full access to manage data, while students can search for and view book information. Test results indicate that the application functions well and is capable of streamlining librarians’ work while helping students find book information more quickly and easily. This study demonstrates that a simple, offline library digitization system can serve as an effective
solution for schools with limited facilities.
